Senior Hydrogeologist

Skills & Experience

Mr. Clark's professional experience includes over 15 years of performing hydrogeologic assessments in a wide variety of geologic settings.

During the past 15 years, Mr. Clark has become well acquainted with the body of State and Federal regulations concerning hazardous materials and wastes, underground storage tanks, site characterization, and remediation, and has put this knowledge to work at hundreds of impacted sites in California and Alaska. He has served as an expert hydrogeologic witness for a major Santa Clara Valley manufacturer, and served on a team mediating disputes over commingled industrial groundwater contamination plumes. He has performed and coordinated aquifer tests at more than 250 sites, supervising all technical aspects of field programs (test design, logistics, data handling, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and reporting). He has conducted numerous computer simulations of groundwater flow and contaminant transport processes, primarily for remedial system design purposes. Models employed include various analytical flow, fate, and transport models, numerical simulators including the popular USGS finite difference model, Modflow, and others. Mr. Clark's most recent hydrogeologic experience has involved site assessment and remediation at several industrial and commercial sites in the San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay areas, and at selected bulk fuel distribution sites in Alaska.
