Mr. Paulus has five years of experience working as a geologist and technician in the field of environmental remediation and geology. His project duties have included: work plan preparation, technical support and oversight, regulatory and encroachment permitting, budget management and tracking, vendor coordination, field activities oversight, report preparation, and regulatory negotiation and liaison.

As a staff geologist, he has been responsible for coordinating and performing environmental site investigations employing a variety of field techniques including geoprobe and auger drilling, soil vapor extraction testing, aquifer pump testing and slug testing, and cone penetrometer testing.

As a field technician, he has conducted numerous groundwater monitoring and sampling event at retail UST sites and other contaminated sites throughout northern California. He has been responsible for both routine and emergency operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including thermal oxidation, air stripping, and soil vapor extraction systems.
